I got in a huge argument with someone about how some of the zombies of AIG deserved to get the bonuses that they were contractually promised. The crux of this person's argument was that even if I didn't agree with the imensity of the bonuses these people had still "worked" their asses of for that money with long days, ulcers and divorces in their wake. These people were paid with MY money....the government took MY money and used it to pay off the people that set fire to the entire global economy.
The idea that you deserve to be compensated for you work a core value of the American people, I cannot disagree with that. However, if you are under the impression that manipulating a financial system and using money to manufacture more money constitutes "work" then you need to be donkey punched and raped.
