I hit this picture on Stumble and it just made me sad.
Tomorrow is the final officially scheduled flight of the Space Shuttle Atlantis. It will be her 32nd trip into space and puts us one step closer to having no manned space program in this country for the first time since 1961.
Update: The Boston Globe's awesome blog called "The Big Picture" has some fantastic high resolution pictures of what it takes to prep a Shuttle mission. The end of an era is nigh....

Damnit. I was supposed to be at this! I think there is one more left and thats it for the fleet. :(
There's two more, one each for Discovery and Endeavour. Next one is scheduled for 10/16/2010.

I've never seen the Shuttle go up but we did get to see a tiny Delta IV a few years back and that was pretty impressive.
