Most Americans don't really appreciate the value of a Constitutional Monarchy...they think that our Democracy is the superior method of government and that the British Government has been frozen in time for 200+ years since we gained our independence.
Take notice of what is going on in Britain right now, the British Parliament is in the middle of its largest shake up since 1945. There have been serious ethical and financial abuses by the Members of the British Parliament and the public is voicing their disgust by passing no confidence votes tossing these fools out of their elected offices.
The British are way ahead of us in this respect. They have the political mechanism and will to toss corrupt officials out of office NOW...not a few years later. Our entire Legislative Branch has been infiltrated and co-opted by special interest lobbies. If you don't think that our representatives are as corrupt as those that are being tossed out in Britain then you need to wake up from your dream.
