There's a lot of talk about how the F-22 Raptor fighter program has become irrelevant, a weapon designed for a war that will never happen. It was designed in the days of hardened, "high value" military targets that required an aircraft that was stealthy enough to sneak into target areas and had the speed/maneuverability to fight its way out if necessary. The new reality is that you don't need a $200 million dollar supersonic stealth fighter to drop bombs on a bunch of Taliban fighters hiding in a cave. It doesn't help that the F-35 fighter program is turning out to be a force of it's own....and at HALF the cost per plane. Check out this video that shows off the absolutely amazing combat systems that have been designed for the F-35.

the music is a little 89's cheesy but the tech is amazing. The cockpit display in front of the pilot is all glass too. one big touchscreen.
excuse me, that is 80's cheesy
Cheesy 89's? Weren't you in a gang named that?
