Sort of sad

Microsoft Encarta really is a dinosaur...but its a cute little guy that you'd let curl up in front of your fireplace on a cold night. Today Microsoft announced that they are killing off the Encarta product line....sigh.

Back in the day CDROM drives were mainly a novelty but Encarta was one of those applications that was simply amazing. I'm sad to see it go.

Sorry dude.

Rick Wagoner was a GM lifer, working for the company for 32 years in various positions. That's pretty rare these days to find an executive that hasn't jumped from company to company like a whore looking for the best corner to work.

As honorable as Wagoner's history with GM has been he is still getting the boot at the behest of the Obama Administration. I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve to loose his job, ultimately the company's failures are his responsibility, but I hope that people realize he inherited a decades long mess to fix. From a quality and product standpoint GM has come a long way during his tenure.

Don't miss it.

If you are a Star Trek fan you may want to catch this weekend's Family Guy. They are bringing in the complete cast from The Next Generation series...looks awesome.

Can you believe that Star Trek:TNG has been off the air for 15 years? WTF! When did I get so fucking old?

She's a winner.

Sadness

I'm finally coming to grips with the fact that Battlestar Galactica is over. Here's a great list of things to miss about BSG.

Now I'm sad again.

Thank you Mr. President

It looks like the Obama Administration's stance on Net Neutrality is a good thing. This means at least we will all have decent Internet access for all those unemployed recession days to come.
